Details of the New Universities in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria on 2nd of November 2016 Approved 8 new private Universities  in Nigeria with the aim of increasing the level of literacy among the youths. some of this institution were owned by missionary bodies while others were owned by Individuals.
Here we’ve compiled a brief information about each of the Institution and together with a screen shot of the environment.

1. Anchor University

Anchor university is owned by Deeper Christian Life Ministry, under the leadership of Pastor Kumuyi.
Currently there are five faculties in the university which are

• Faculty of Art
• Faculty of Education
• Faculty of Social Science
• Faculty of Humanities
• School of Management and Accounting.

Anchor university is located at Ayobo, Lagos State Nigeria.

2. Arthur Jarvis University,

the Institution is engineered by the Clitter House Nigeria Limited and is regarded as the first private university in calabar. the University is located at Akpabuyo, Cross River,

3. Clifford University,

Owned by Seventh Day Adventist Church and located at Owerrinta, Abia State. Clifford University is led by Prof. Chimezie Omeonu, a highly decorated academic who has led several State and Federal institutions at the highest level.
Approved courses include

• School of Humanities
• School of Management and Social Sciences
• School of Science

4. Coal City University

Coal City university is owned and operated by African Thinkers Community of Inquiry College of Education, and is located at Enugu;

5. Crown-Hill University,

Floated by Modern Morgy and Sons Limited, Crown-Hill University became the 3rd private University in Kwara state and is located at Eiyenkorin, Kwara State.
currently CHU has three (3) faculties

• Life and Applied Scienc
• Management Science
• Information and Communication Science

6. Dominican University

DU is owned by the brainchild of Order of Preachers, Nigerian Dominican Community, The proprietor of Dominican University of Nigeria is the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) of the Province of St. Joseph the Worker, Nigeria.  the Institution is locate at Ibadan, Oyo State.

7. Kola Daisi University

Kola Daisi Foundation and Legacy University, Okija, is an idea of The Good Idea Education Foundation. According to Kola Daisi The institution will concentrate more on vocational education and skill acquisition in order to reduce unemployment in the country. it is located in Ibadan, Oyo State. as well

8. Legacy University,

Located in Okija, Anambra State and owned by
University has three faculties, namely:

• Faculty of Arts and Social Science;
• Faculty of Management Sciences;
• Faculty of Natural and Applied Science
